Valley Floor
Targeting low-quality farmland in Western Australia’s Wheatbelt Region, Valley Floor is our leading Reforestation project that seeks to address areas affected by, or at risk of further developing dryland salinity.
Details
Salubris collaborated with local farmers in Corrigin, WA to identify saline impacted areas of farmland considered unviable for traditional farming that could benefit from strategic reforestation activities. By providing a strong model for how abatement initiatives can be integrated to generate additional value within enduring farming operations, Salubris seek to encourage further engagement with farmers and local communities.
By planting native vegetation that’s proven adaptable in such areas, the project is expected to deliver valuable ACCUs, with additional environmental benefits anticipated across surrounding areas. The Valley Floor project will be managed and monitored over the projects 25-year lifetime, with the option for further similar plantings to be included over the coming years.
